CENTRAL JAVA

Central Java is a province of Indonesia, located in the central part of Java Island. This province borders the province of West Java to the west, the Indian Ocean and Yogyakarta in the south, East Java in the east, and the Java Sea to the north. Its area is 32 548 km ², or approximately 25.04% of the island of Java. Central Java province also includes the island of Nusakambangan in the south (near the border of West Java), and Karimun Islands Java in the Java Sea.
Central Java sense geographically and culturally sometimes also includes the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Central Java is known as the "heart" of Javanese culture. Nevertheless in this province there are also other ethnic groups who have different cultures like Javanese Sundanese in West Java border. In addition there are also Chinese-Indonesian citizens, Arab-India-Indonesia and Indonesia are scattered throughout the province.

Central Java, there are lots of very interesting sights. Semarang city has a number of ancient buildings. Other attractions in town include Maerokoco Castle (Taman Mini Central Java), Museum of Central Java Ranggawarsita and the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI).Jepara City there are a number of ancient buildings, namely: Portuguese Fort, Fort VOC , Museum of RA Kartini.
One of these is the pride of the province of Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist monument was built in the 9th century, located in Magelang regency. and Pawon Mendut also located in an area with Borobudur.
Prambanan Temple in Klaten is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. in Dieng area there are groups of Hindu temples, who allegedly built before the era of Ancient Mataram. Pantura western region kept many religious tourism. Demak Grand Mosque which was founded in the 16th century is an artistic building with a blend of Islamic and Hindu architecture. Demak is the first Islamic kingdom in Java. Pantura western region there are three tomb guardian sanga, the Sunan Kalijaga in Demak, Festival of the Holy city, and Sunan Muria in the Holy District. Ghost is also known as the 'city of kretek', and there is also a museum of this city clove.
